Welcome

Hello and welcome, thank you for being here. I completely understand how daunting it can be to take the first steps to seeking help, and I hope to make the process for everyone that I work with as easy as possible.

Perhaps you are feeling low and struggling to find joy and meaning in the everyday, maybe you’re feeling dissatisfied with how your life currently looks and would like to make some changes, or it could be that you have a particular issue that you would like to work through. Therapy can be helpful for so many different reasons, and I am here to support you in whatever you would like to bring, no problem is too big or small.

If you are looking for a safe, confidential, empathetic space to feel heard without judgement, please take a look through my website. If you feel we may be suited, please reach out to me and we can discuss how we might work together.

Seeking help is a brave and empowering step towards feeling like yourself again.

Hi, I’m Charlotte

I am a qualified integrative counsellor and registered accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society, working both in private practice and as a counsellor for Wiltshire Mind.

As an integrative counsellor, I approach therapy from a holistic perspective, drawing from various therapeutic approaches to meet the unique needs of each person that I work with. I believe that no single approach fits all, so I tailor my techniques and interventions to address each clients specific concerns and goals. I draw upon elements of person centred, gestalt, mindfulness and cognitive behavioural therapies to provide a supportive and collaborative space for growth and healing.

I aim to create a warm, down to earth environment where you can feel comfortable sharing with me. In this safe space, you can explore your emotions, thoughts, behaviours, gain self-awareness, and develop empowering coping strategies. I am committed to fostering a therapeutic relationship based on trust, which helps to create positive change that promotes overall wellbeing and life satisfaction. I understand how difficult it can be to stop worrying about the future, or dwelling on the past, but together we can work towards you feeling comfortable and satisfied in the here and now.

I am experienced in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, self harm, grief & loss, low self-esteem, overwhelm, domestic issues, anger, relationship/family issues, low mood, burnout and more. I am open to working with whatever you would like to bring to the session, nothing is too big or small for us to navigate together.

Fees & availability

Counselling sessions will take place on the same day and time each week and last 50 minutes. I typically provide open ended therapy, but it is possible to work in a more focused way with a shorter block of sessions.

I work with adults over the age of 18. We can either meet in person at my comfortable, confidential practice room in Stroud town centre, or online.

I offer a free, no obligation, 15 minute video consultation. This is to gain an understanding of what has brought you to counselling, and to work out if I am the right counsellor for you.

After our initial consultation, if you decide to continue working together, sessions will cost £50.
